As a Principal / Partner of BNC, Elie brings over 40 years of expertise in Master-planning, Urban Design Institutional, Commercial, Renovation and Heritage projects. Some of these projects include the Bradford West Gwillimbury Library & Cultural Centre, and St. Augustine Seminary Renovations. He has overseen and delivered many of the firm’s independent school projects, including Bishop Strachan School Transformation Project. Elie’s talent for architecture and urban design demonstrates a sensitivity in heightening the user experience by engaging the site and community / neighbourhood context, such as The Commons of Uptown Waterloo. Over the past 30 years, he has been the driving force behind many of the firm’s small and large-scale projects both nationally and internationally.
Elie’s extensive experience in planning, design, and construction of communities, ranging in size from 250 to 1,000,000 persons, such as the Kuwait Urban Design Study, is widely recognized as an expert in the planning and design of sustainable communities.
