Queensville Master Plan

Queensville / 2008 / 1,215 ha.

BNC created a master plan concept for Queensville, a new community and town centre on 1,215 ha of rural lands for 30,000 people. Developed through an intensive public process, the concept is based on an “environment first” approach, by integrating natural features. The existing Hamlet of Queensville was integrated with new land uses, structured by a compact street system focused around a street-related town centre.

The Town of East Gwillimbury adopted the firm’s plan within the Official Plan for East Gwillimbury and BNC was retained to develop urban design guidelines for implementation of the Draft Plans of Subdivision.

Most recently, BNC was retained to further develop and detail the Town Centre and a new University campus into the Master Plan utilizing a fly-through video. The video is currently being used as a marketing tool to draw developers and investors for the future development of the Town.
